Acquired by Telco Systems, a subsidiary of BATM (London: BVC)

Critical Telecom provides a transparent DSL extender, delivering full-rate ADSL 82 kft from telecom providers' central offices, enabling carriers to deliver high-speed Internet and next-generation services, such as broadcast video and video-on-demand, to subscribers that currently cannot be serviced due to distance limitations.

The company offers mobile, traditional, text message, conference, and embedded telephony solutions. TELUS Ventures invested in Jajah on February 15, 2008 and the Ventures prime is Alan Strachan.

The product is an important component of TV and video deployments, especially in IPTV. It has the potential to alleviate the long install times associated with rewiring homes. TELUS Ventures initially invested in Ruckus Wireless in November, 2006. The sponsoring Business Unit is Technology Strategy, and the Ventures prime is Alan Strachan.

Soltrus was a provider of Digital Trust Services enabling businesses and consumers to communicate and transact over digital networks using Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) technology. The company was acquired by Verisign in January 2006.

Spotnik Mobile

Acquired by TELUS (TSX: T and NYSE: TU)

Spotnik Mobile was a provider of secure public high-speed Internet access using 802.11 unlicensed spectrum (known as "Wi-Fi" or WLAN) through "hot spots" such as hotels, conference centers, cafes and airports. The company was acquired by TELUS in June of 2004.

Telica

Acquired by Lucent Technologies (NYSE: LU)

Telica was a provider of a high capacity, fault tolerant, packet based switching platform supporting TDM, VoATM and VoIP transmission standards, allowing carriers to cap their investment in traditional circuit switches and migrate to a converged, next generation, switching infrastructure. The company was acquired by Lucent Technologies in August of 2004.

Teradici

Teradici has developed a PC-over-IP silicon chipset that enables enterprises (and potentially HSIA service providers) to deliver remote desktop computing services to its employees and/or customers.

Veracode

Veracode is the industry's first provider of automated, on-demand application security solutions. The company delivers services to identify software flaws introduced through coding errors or malicious intent. Veracode's core service, SecurityReviewT, uses patented binary code analysis that is uniquely able to inspect entire application inventories, including components, and does not require companies to expose their valuable source code.
