More choice, more savings

TELUS Long Distance plans give customers low anytime rates when calling within Canada, to the U.S. or overseas.

In addition, customers can save more when bundling a long distance plan with other TELUS services. To learn more about TELUS bundles, please visit our bundles page.

Administration Fee

To provide continued enhancements on our long distance networks and to help keep our per-minute long distance rates low, TELUS charges an administration fee for customers who are on long distance plans. Most communications companies already have this charge in place.

Residential customers on a long distance plan:
The long distance administration fee is $4.95 per month.

Network access charge:

This charge maintains TELUS' capability to provide high quality long distance service for all clients at all times, through infrastructure investment in long distance facilities, management of telephone carrier relationships and ongoing operational and business development expenses for long distance service.

Residential customers not on a long distance plan:
The long distance network access charge is $2.95 per month. This charge is applied to TELUS residential phone customers that do not subscribe to a TELUS long distance plan who make long distance calls, who subscribe to multiple forborne-only services or who reside in areas where TELUS is not the incumbent local exchange carrier (ILEC).

Call Guardian:

Customers who do not use their residential phone to call long distance may request Call Guardian to have the $2.95 network access charge waived. With Call Guardian, customers can receive long distance calls on their residential line, but will not be able to make an outbound long distance call. There is no monthly charge for Call Guardian, and a one time $10 charge to remove the feature.
