TELUS employees are not permitted in areas containing explosive atmospheres. The installation of TELUS owned apparatus can only be in nonexplosive atmospheres and is subject to prior approval by TELUS. The owner is responsible for the supply and installation of all explosive proof telephone instruments, explosive proof conduit and wiring in and to the explosive atmosphere area from TELUS'S determined demarcation point. The owner is also responsible for the disconnection and repair of the explosive proof telephone instruments. Explosive proof fittings and conduits must comply with the current edition of the CSA Standard C22-1 Canadian Electrical Code, Part 1 and the requirements of any other authority having jurisdiction.
