- The building owner or occupant shall provide a room for network
termination and distribution when specified by TELUS Communications
Inc. and arrange for all necessary environmental
requirements. The need for a terminating room is
dependent on the size and occupancy of the building.
- The size of the terminating room is dependent on the anticipated
ultimate number of connections and shall be specified by TELUS
Communications Inc. for each building project.
- Network terminating rooms shall be free of other building services,
dry, well ventilated, dust proof and painted a light color. The
floor shall be painted, sealed or covered with tile.
- All network terminating rooms shall be well lit (minimum of
1000 lux at working plane) and equipped with one 110 volt (A.C.)
duplex electrical outlet, or as required by TELUS Communications Inc.
- The main terminal room must be a separate room if the power voltages
exceed 8700V. Joint power/tel rooms must meet clearance
requirements as per C.E.C. 60-404.
- Plywood backboards shall be provided as per Section
3 - Plywood Backboards.
- No. 6 green insulated A.W.G. ground wire. See
Section 3 - Grounding Requirements
