TELUS declared a quarterly dividend of $0.15 payable January 1, 2002.

Dividends may be directly deposited into a Canadian bank account. This is convenient, saves administrative costs and helps the environment.

Dividend reinvestment and share purchase plan
TELUS announced changes to the dividend reinvestment plan on March 27, 2001 (click here to see news release) and on October 25, 2001 (click here to see news release). The plan has been amended and restated as follows:

• TELUS re-introduced, effective July 1, 2001, a discount for the plan, allowing Treasury shares to be purchased at a discount from the average market price. Initially, the discount was 5% for the July 1 and October 1 dividend reinvestment, and this was subsequently changed to 3% for the January 1, 2002 dividend reinvestment.
• Reinvested dividends are being used to purchase non-voting shares (instead of common voting shares in the previous plan).
• The plan is now open to U.S. residents.
