Kevin Salvadori

Kevin Salvadori

Executive Vice-president, Business Transformation & Technology Operations

Kevin Salvadori leads TELUS' Business Transformation & Technology Operations team, which delivers strategic and transformational projects, and communications solutions including voice, data and Internet Protocol services for TELUS customers. Kevin is responsible for TELUS' field operations, the construction and maintenance of TELUS' national wireline and wireless networks and the provisioning of national customer service solutions. He is also responsible for Information Technology systems architecture, application development and maintenance, technology operations, and physical and technology security.

Kevin joined TELUS Mobility upon its acquisition of Clearnet in 2000 and transitioned to TELUS in September 2003. At TELUS Mobility, Kevin led the successful process and systems integration of TELUS Mobility and Clearnet. His team's achievements received successive, prestigious Canadian Information Productivity Award (CIPA) honours.

Kevin sits on the board of directors of BC Technology Industries Association and Teradici Corporation. Kevin is a 2005 recipient of Canada's Top 40 Under 40 Award.

Prior to joining Clearnet in 1995, Kevin was a senior associate with Braxton Associates, the strategy consulting division of Deloitte & Touche.

Kevin received a Bachelor of Applied Science (Systems Design Engineering) from the University of Waterloo in 1993. He serves on the board of the B.C. Technology Industries Association.

 
Josh Blair

Executive Vice-president, Human Resources

Josh leads a national team responsible for all aspects of TELUS’ Human Resources strategy. This includes attracting and retaining the best talent in the global communications industry, creating one of the best workplaces in Canada, supporting the more than 35,000 members of the TELUS team, and giving back to the communities where we serve.

Josh is based in Vancouver and joined TELUS in 1995. He has built a best-in-class team focused on providing strategic HR support and has successfully developed and recruited many of Canada’s top HR leaders. Under his leadership, TELUS has earned numerous national and global accolades. TELUS has been recognized as the #3 enterprise worldwide for learning excellence by the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) and as one of Canada’s Human Capital Leaders via the Beacon Group survey of Canadian executives. Josh was personally named the Learning Leader of the Year at the international Thomson NETg Illuminati Awards in 2005.

Josh is a strong supporter of TELUS’ commitment to give where we live. He currently serves as Vice-chair of the TELUS Vancouver Community Board and chairs its education sub-committee. Josh is a professional engineer and graduated with distinction from the University of Victoria’s Electrical Engineering program. He is also a graduate of the Executive Program at the Queen’s School of Business.

 
Eros Spadotto

Eros Spadotto

Executive Vice-President, Technology Strategy

Eros has the overall responsibility for TELUS integrated wireless and wireline technology strategy, network spectrum, development architecture and vendor management. He is also responsible for the planning and engineering of TELUS network; identifying opportunities, establishing long-term direction and implementing new technologies and services.

Prior to this role, Eros served as the executive vice president and chief technology officer of TELUS Mobility, where he integrated TELUS Mobility's network operations after the acquisition of Clearnet Communications in 2000.

During his tenure at Clearnet, Eros held the executive positions of chief technology officer and chief information officer. He was responsible for the initial launches of both the company’s Mike iDEN network and its national PCS CDMA network. Before joining Clearnet in 1995, Eros held senior management positions in engineering and marketing at Bell Mobility.

Eros holds a Bachelor of Applied Science, Electrical Engineering from the University of Windsor in 1984 and a Masters in Business Administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business in 1995.

 
Janet Yale

Janet Yale

Executive Vice-President and national chair of TELUS Community Boards

Based in Ottawa, Janet serves as national chair of TELUS’ Community Boards, further developing and refining TELUS’ innovative leadership with its unique corporate philanthropy model.

From October 2003 – January 2009, Janet was executive vice-president of Corporate Affairs at TELUS and led a national team responsible for legal, government and regulatory affairs as well as corporate communications and corporate philanthropy.

Janet was president of the Canadian Cable Television Association prior to joining TELUS. With more than 20 years of government and regulatory experience, Janet has held senior leadership positions at AT&T Canada, the CRTC and the Consumer's Association of Canada.

In addition to a Bachelor of Arts degree from McGill University in 1975, Janet received a Master of Economics in 1976 and a Bachelor of Laws in 1981 from the University of Toronto. She was called to the Ontario Bar in April 1983. In 2005, Janet became a certified director through the Director’s Education Program offered by ICD.

As an active member of the Ottawa community, she is a member of the Board of the Great Canadian Theatre Company, Business for the Arts, the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation, the Canadian Film Centre, the International Institute of Communications (IIC), the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) and the TELUS Ottawa Community Board.  She is also Chair of the National Arts Centre Gala and the United Way’s Leadership Table on Homelessness.

Janet was awarded the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal in 2002.  The Canadian Women in Communications Organization named Janet "Woman of the Year 2001". The Women’s Executive Network named Janet one of Canada’s Most Powerful Women – Top 100 for 2004, 2005 and 2006 and inducted her into the Women’s Executive Network Hall of Fame in 2007. Janet was named Businesswoman of the Year (corporate) 2005 by the Women’s Business Network, and in 2006 was named Woman Leader of the Year by Federated Press.  In 2008, Janet was awarded the United Way Community Builder Award for Volunteer of the Year.
