Public Service Announcement - TELUS restores service to 1,000 Calgary customers

TELUS crews have restored full service to about 1,000 Acadia-area Calgary customers a day earlier than first anticipated.


Cables serving about 1,000 TELUS customers in Acadia were flooded Friday morning following torrential rains that caused flooding in many parts of the city. TELUS crews worked through the night to replace 100 meters of flooded underground cable and began re-connecting customers' service in the early morning hours. The final customers were connected about 8:45 p.m. today. TELUS originally anticipated it would take until late Sunday to restore all service.


TELUS apologizes for the inconvenience and thanks its customers for their patience during this disruption.
