Consumer Impact Marketing selects TELUS IP-One

North American marketing firm uses the power of IP to expand communications capabilities for more than 2,200 field positions

Toronto, Ontario – TELUS today announced it has signed CIM (Consumer Impact Marketing) to a five-year contract that will see the leading North American marketing company use TELUS IP-One to increase productivity and reduce costs.

TELUS Internet protocol (IP) technology merges voice, data and video applications into one communications solution. It allows businesses to easily manage features such as call forwarding and contact lists, access voice mail as they would e-mail, or conduct ad hoc multi-party conference calls by selecting contact names from a directory and adding them to a “Meet me” window on the TELUS IP-One portal. The service also allows business customers the flexibility to shift employees and workstations without having to reconfigure network and telephony services, making it time and cost effective.

Toronto-based CIM, a dynamic brand strategy, creative, sales, merchandising, events and promotions management company with offices in Quebec and New York, has 300 full-time employees, 2,200 field positions and direct access to 5,000 tactical employees across North America. As one of the largest third-party outsourcers in North America, its new communications infrastructure provides the “future-proofing” capabilities a growing international company requires.

“CIM's choice of TELUS IP-One reflects our commitment to maximizing the value of technology for our customers,” said Michael Smith, CEO of CIM. “Ensuring peak support for our clients' businesses is our priority and to do that, we have to maximize the productivity of all our resources – human and technical. IP-One lets us grow our mobile workers' productivity, streamline communications processes across the company and manage costs. At the same time, the infrastructure is flexible and supports CIM's industry-leading growth.”

Joe Natale, president of TELUS Business Solutions, said, “IP technology is a great fit for a company like CIM. IP scales efficiently to meet the demands of a growing business. It also maximizes the collaboration and communication capabilities among remote workers. TELUS was the first in Canada to launch a world class IP solution for business. Customers like CIM are investing in the IP opportunity with an experienced and trusted partner.”

The CIM solution was established in collaboration with E-ternity Business Continuity Consultants, an Ontario-based company that provides business continuity management services, data integrity solutions and voice continuity services to customers in Ontario.
