More choice, more savings

TELUS Long Distance plans give customers low anytime rates when calling within Canada, to the U.S. or overseas. In addition, customers can save more when bundling a long distance plan with other TELUS services. To learn more about TELUS bundles, please visit our TELUS service bundles page.

Long Distance Administration Fee

To provide continued enhancements on our long distance networks and to help keep our per-minute long distance rates low, TELUS charges an administration fee for customers who are on long distance plans. The long distance administration fee is $4.95 per month.

Long Distance Network Access Charge

The long distance network access charge is $2.95 per month. This charge maintains TELUS' capability to provide high quality long distance service for all clients at all times, through infrastructure investment in long distance facilities, management of telephone carrier relationships and ongoing operational and business development expenses for long distance service.

This charge is applied to TELUS residential phone customers who do not subscribe to a TELUS long distance plan. For local regulated regions, the charge is applied only in months where a long distance call is made. In deregulated local regions, the charge is applied monthly to clients who subscribe to multiple TELUS services; for those who do not, it is applied only in months where a long distance call is made.

Call Guardian

Customers who do not use their residential phone to call long distance may request Call Guardian to have the $2.95 network access charge waived. With Call Guardian, customers can receive long distance calls on their residential line, but will not be able to make any outbound long distance calls.

Calling Cards

When traveling, remember to use your TELUS Calling Card with a Card Savings Plan for low long distance rates.

Residential Late Payment Charges

All bills are due upon receipt. Bills made available through the Internet are received when they are posted. Charges not paid before the end of the grace period shown on the customer's bill are assessed a late payment charge of 2% per month (26.82% per year), calculated from the billing date for those charges, which the customer must pay in addition to all other amounts owing to TELUS.

Late payment charges for unregulated services can be found in the unregulated service terms.
