TELUS received the Best Practice Standards Award for Best Overall Recognition Program from Recognition Professionals International (RPI).

This prestigious award recognizes our recognition strategy, leadership, measurement, communications, training, events and celebrations as well as program flexibility and improvements. In terms of specific programs, RPI drew attention to Bravo, our Passion for Growth awards and our new TELUS Legends awards.

RPI also praised the way team members use our recognition programs to give back to their communities. For example, since 2007 about 3,600 team members have donated Bravo points (valued at approximately $400,000) to their favourite charities. In addition, through our partnership with Tree Canada, more than 3,500 trees were planted in 2010 on behalf of team members celebrating career milestones.
