At TELUS, we focus our community investment efforts in three pillars of funding: arts and culture, education and sport, health and well-being in our environment initiatives. These pillars are supported by two platforms to ensure our contributions benefit young Canadians and/or showcase the innovative use of technology.
We have fully embraced the challenge of being Canada’s premier corporate citizen as a national goal, and realize that it must be owned and executed locally, in partnership with the community. In 2007, our community boards allocated a total of $4.55 million to support 359 projects in their communities. Since inception in 2005, the boards have allocated a total of $11.55 million and supported 839 community projects.
