The TELUS Community Ambassadors use their time and resources to positively influence the quality of life in the communities where we live, work and serve. The three principal objectives of the TELUS Community Ambassadors are: social connection, community service and loyalty.
We:
- Provide a means of social interaction for current and retired team members (also referred to as alumni)
- participate in volunteer activities that are of service to the community and to each other
- maintain the traditions of the telecom industry and support the goals of TELUS
Since 2000 the TELUS Community Ambassadors have made a difference in their communities by rolling up their sleeves and contributing over 2.1 million volunteer hours. Thanks to their compassion, dedication and hard work, sick children are comforted, schools and libraries get better computers and seniors receive more care. Among their many contributions, our ambassadors annually deliver thousands of backpacks filled with school supplies, thousands of heart and lung pillows for recovering patients and thousands of comfort kits containing hygiene products for those in need.
