TELUS succeeds in offer to acquire Daedalian eSolutions Inc.

Burnaby, B.C. - TELUS Corporation has succeeded in its offer to acquire all of the outstanding common shares of Toronto-based Internet professional services company Daedalian eSolutions.

Computershare Trust Company of Canada, as depositary under the offer, has advised TELUS that approximately 97 per cent of the total number of fully-diluted Daedalian common shares outstanding have been deposited under the offer. As all of the offer conditions had been satisfied before the expiry time of the offer (3:00 p.m. Calgary time on Thursday, June 21, 2001), Daedalian shares deposited at that time will be taken up and paid for within three business days. The consideration to be paid for the shares deposited under the offer will be approximately 702,000 TELUS Non-Voting shares. It is intended that all remaining Daedalian shares will be acquired pursuant to the compulsory acquisition provisions of the Business Corporations Act (Ontario).

Daedalian's operations will become part of TELUS Enterprise Solutions, the e-business division of TELUS' corporate and public sector customer business unit, TELUS Client Solutions.

Daedalian is a leading provider of e-business solutions, including customized Internet applications, e-commerce solutions, systems integration and development, hosting, data warehousing and managed business services. The company had revenues of approximately $22 million in fiscal year 2000.
