TELUS sponsors innovative Impact conference for Canadian university and college students to promote entrepreneurship for tomorrow's business leaders
Toronto, Ont. – TELUS has signed on as a major sponsor of the Impact conference, Canada's innovative and largest student-run event promoting entrepreneurship and business leadership for Canada's post-secondary students.
This year's annual Impact conference will be held in Toronto on November 18 and 19, and brings together university and college students from across Canada with industry leaders and educational partners. The conference offers students unprecedented access to the brightest entrepreneurial minds, through panel discussions and speaker sessions with Canada's foremost business leaders.
“TELUS is extremely proud to support this one-of-a-kind initiative that facilitates innovative thinking and the professional business development of Canada's future entrepreneurs,” said Kevin Salvadori, executive vice president of Business Transformation and Chief Information Officer, TELUS. “TELUS has made a long-term commitment to fund innovative educational programs that will enable Canadian youth to excel in today's competitive environment, and our support of the Impact conference is an investment in the future of tomorrow's leaders.”
Salvadori also sits on the advisory board for Impact.
“Impact's mission is to foster future innovators, thinkers and economic movers who will ensure Canada stays competitive in a global economy,” said Kunal Gupta, president and student founder of Impact. “TELUS' sponsorship is key to helping Impact achieve these goals. The conference is a key motivator in sparking the interest of Canada's university and college students to explore and learn more about entrepreneurship. A conference highlight is a case study competition, which challenges student teams to come up with the best solution to a real-life entrepreneurship challenge.”
