TELUS Québec transaction completed
Vancouver, B.C. - TELUS Corporation has made the second and final C$107 million payment related to the previously announced purchase of the remaining 30% of TELUS Québec (formerly QuébecTel Group) from Verizon Communications Inc. The final installment of C$107 million was satisfied with the payment of C$53.4 million in cash and the issuance of 2.14 million Class A Non-voting Shares. This means that consideration paid by TELUS for the aggregate C$284.9 million purchase price was comprised of 56.3% shares and 43.7% cash. Under the terms of the purchase and sale agreement, TELUS had the option to pay up to a maximum of 75% of the aggregate consideration in the form of Class A Non-voting Shares.
