TELUS enhances its IP network for service providers

New Internet Protocol (IP) services enable seamless extension of mission-critical solutions into and across Canada

Vancouver, B.C. – TELUS today announced the addition of new capabilities to its world class IP network. These new capabilities give Canadian and international service providers seamless access to, and control of, the network as they extend solutions into and across Canada. Carriers can now achieve superior levels of security, reliability and reach while minimizing their capital investment and infrastructure support costs in Canada.

The globally connected TELUS IP network is now enhanced with a flexible suite of services that allow service providers to self-manage secure connections and prioritize traffic as they do on their own network. Customer managed virtual private networks, custom quality of service marking and a single IP interconnection for voice and data now make it easy to support customers in Canada.

“Our partners in Canada and around the world rely on TELUS to deliver the Canadian component of global solutions,” said Brent Allison, vice-president, TELUS Partner Solutions. “We build services that meet the growing demand for IP solutions – tailored to the needs of each customer.”

TELUS led North America in transforming its traditional circuit-based infrastructure to a leading-edge IP network. Today, TELUS uses next-generation IP technology on a full range of world-class wireline and wireless services – making TELUS the trusted partner of choice for Canadian and international service providers.
