Co-op is all about learning, putting your academic experience in to practice and developing your skills in a real industry environment. Our dynamic co-op and internship programs offer you the opportunity to work on assignments that will challenge and excite you helping you define your career interests.
From day one, we ensure that our co-op students and interns have the tools to succeed, including access to online and other training, as well as experiencing fun through various social activities and community focused events.
Our support for co-op students and interns doesn’t end there – leverage the skills you’ve gained during your work term and apply to join one of our various Leadership Development Programs upon graduation!
We also give students and interns the opportunity to continue their involvement with TELUS by becoming Campus Ambassadors once back on campus.

Business
We offer the best and brightest undergraduate and graduate students like you the opportunity to find their true colors by participating in an exciting and challenging four to eight month work term that will prepare you for a potential future leadership role within Consumer Solutions.
Based on your interests and passions, you may have the opportunity to work as a:
- Business Analyst
- Project Analyst
- Program Specialist
- Marketing Specialist
In these roles, you can expect to work on wireline and wireless assignments and projects such as:
- Aiding in the strategic development, planning, management and launch of consumer events and marketing initiatives
- Working on pricing strategies, product analyses, client retention and segmentation strategies achieving TELUS' client churn, revenue, tenure and satisfaction targets
- Conducting in-depth research on wireless and wireline performance
Finance/Accounting
We offer an opportunity for bright and enthusiastic co-op students to join an innovative and award-winning Finance team. Partnering with our Controllers and Financial Analysts, you will have first hand insight and experience on exciting projects such as:
- Driving operational improvements and cost efficiencies in collaboration with the businesses.
- Streamlining reporting processes and improving finance processes to provide relevant, predictive and accurate financial information to our business partners
- Assisting with annual budgets and quarterly outlooks, providing value-add analysis and review of the projections assessing reasonableness, risk and opportunity
- Researching best practices and benchmark information for audit engagements
Our flexible program will give you the opportunity to work on a number of meaningful assignments that will leverage your skills, experience, and education to give you a unique co-op or intern experience that you will be hard pressed not to tell your peers about!
We consider both CA and Commerce students for opportunities.
Engineering
We're looking to connect bright, ambitious students with our talented industry leaders in our dynamic engineering co-op and internship program. Find your true colours through one of our exciting engineering opportunities designed to offer you the opportunity to leverage your education and experience to work on projects such as:
- National Access Network Planning – assisting in the development of tactical plans that direct design in the strategic deployment of access facilities
- Traffic Engineering and Capacity Management – assisting with the specification of requirements for Quality of Service based traffic reporting for various networks
- HVAC – assisting with HVAC Equipment Engineering and Design Processes through various research and development projects
- AC/DC Power Planning – assisting with equipment engineering and designing engineering processes through various research and development projects

Information Technology
Find your true colors through any or all parts of the software development life cycle in Business Transformation. Experience leading edge technology, drive innovation, and assist in delivering technical solutions for the business. 4, 8, or 16 month internships are available in one or more of the following roles:
- Quality Assurance Specialist – gathering business requirements and translating into test planning and execution
- Developer Analyst – collaborating with business units to develop and support solutions, from simple (reports) to complex (web applications to terabyte databases)
- Project Analyst – using project management tools, implementing process, gathering, analyzing, and reporting on projects
