Stevie Awards – June 2007
teamVision, TELUS' innovative internal video news magazine, won multiple Stevie Awards at the 2007 International Business Awards. TeamVision captured winner status in the Best Graphics category and finalist status in the Internal/Employee Communications and Best Editing categories. A video produced by the TELUS Executive Communications team - Royal Conservatory of Music: Building National Dreams, prepared for the organization's fundraising campaign - was also recognized with a Stevie Award, securing finalist status in the Public Relations: Non-profit Fund Raising category. The Stevie Awards honour the efforts, accomplishments and positive contributions of companies and business people worldwide. Entries are judged on technical excellence, creativity and innovation, effectiveness in identifying and responding to an organization's or community's needs, the delivery of measurable outcomes, and the overall success of the project.

International Association of Business Communicators Gold Quill Award - June 2007
The International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) presented a Gold Quill Award to teamVision, recognizing TELUS' innovative internal video news magazine in the Electronic and Digital Communication category (Communication Skills division). The Gold Quill Awards are the mark of global distinction and a hallmark of excellence in business communications. They are the communication professional's equivalent of the Oscars recognizing programs with clear strategies that demonstrate a full range of planning and management such as research, analysis and evaluation as well as the highest level of technical and creative skill. This also marks the third Gold Quill for teamVision, which won in both the Communications Management and Communications Skills divisions last year.

International Association of Business Communicators Gold Quill Awards - June 2006
The International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) awarded teamVision, TELUS' bi-weekly internal video news program, two Gold Quill Awards of Excellence - in the communications management and communications skills categories. The IABC awards program recognizes communications programs with clear strategies that demonstrate a full range of planning and management as well as the highest level of technical and creative skill. teamVision competed with entries from around the world, and this external validation underscores the innovation and talent resident within TELUS.

Mérite du français - 2006
The office québécois de la langue française, an office within the Government of Quebec, honoured the French communications team of TELUS Client Operations with an award in the Langue du travail - Grande organization category. The award recognizes the excellence of Le Messager, a monthly bulletin that helps team members understand correct French grammar applicable to TELUS products and services.

Electronic and Digital Communications, Gold Quill Award of Excellence (International), IABC - 2004
In June, the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) awarded TELUS Corporate Communications the coveted 2004 Gold Quill Award of Excellence in the Electronic and Digital Communications category. The award recognized teamZine, TELUS' former monthly online magazine for team members. teamZine was chosen, out of a total of 80 entrants in the category, as the communications vehicle that most exemplified excellence in the Electronic and Digital Communication category, and won the award for its innovative use of technology and excellent writing. The IABC Gold Quill awards program is the only competition that recognizes the strength of research-based, strategy-driven communication efforts that achieve measurable audience impacts. It is an annual international competition that honours top work in the communications field and is a hallmark of excellence in business communications.

Strategic Communications Management, Gold Quill Award (International), IABC - 2003
TELUS Corporate Communications won a coveted Award of Excellence in the 2003 Gold Quill Awards program. The Gold Quill Awards program is an annual international competition that honours top work in the communications field. For more than 25 years, IABC's Gold quill Awards program has been the hallmark of excellence in business communications. This year there were 1,051 entries from around the world that competed, and TELUS was one of only 39 top award winners.

Communication Skills and Tactics, Capital Award (Edmonton), IABC - 2003
TELUS Corporate Communications was recognized with an Award of Excellence in the 2003 International Association of Business Communicators Capital Awards Program - 2003. The Capital Awards, which celebrate communications excellence, attracts entries from more than 200 professional communicators in Edmonton and northern Alberta. Judges assess entries based on creative excellence, looking for communications programs and products exemplifying sound strategic planning and proven results.

Willis Harman Spirit at Work Award, Association for Spirit at Work - 2002
TELUS Mobility was awarded the Willis Harman Spirit at Work Award by the Association for Spirit at Work (ASAW). ASAW acknowledges companies that have implemented specific policies, programs, or practices that explicitly nurture spirituality in their organizations. TELUS Mobility was one of seven organizations honoured for its attempts to integrate spiritual values into their workplace processes, programs and culture. We were recognized for integrating spiritual values in its communications, human resources and wellness programs that consciously respect, nurture and develop mind, body and spirit. Out of 27 international nominees, the seven honourees demonstrated a commitment to search for ways to maximize productivity by encouraging the expression of its employees' whole self in the workplace. This year's honourees also included: The Body Shop, Eileen Fisher, Inc., Embassy Graphics Ltd., Medtronic Inc., Methodist Healthcare System and Wheaton Franciscan Services.

Excellence in Recognition Program Design and Practices, Best-in-class Awards, NAER - 2002
In June 2002, TELUS received three Best-in-class Awards from the National Association for Employee Recognition (NAER) for our recognition practices at TELUS. TELUS was given best-in-class honours in three separate categories: our ability to meet the changing needs and requirements of the TELUS team, which includes our corporate vehicle Team Machine; our corporate recognition communication strategies; and our recognition training program, with high praise for the Recognize the Opportunity presentation and the Recognizer video.

Special Publications, Silver Leaf Award (Canada), IABC - 2002
TELUS Corporate Communications won an Award of Merit in the 2002 International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Silver Leaf Awards program for the TELUS Team Membership brochure. The Silver Leaf Awards program is Canada's premiere professional awards program celebrating excellence in business communications. This award honours outstanding work in communication tactics.

Award of Excellence, B.C. Human Resources Management Association - 2002
TELUS was awarded the 2002 Award of Excellence by the B.C. Human Resources Management Association, a program that recognizes excellence in professional people practices. As one of only four recipients, TELUS was recognized for outstanding people practices reflecting leadership and innovation, and delivering strategic advantage with sustainable results. The HRMA Award of Excellence honours outstanding individuals, teams and organizations dedicated to advancing professional people practices to enhance organization performance.

Communication Skills and Tactics, Capital Award (Edmonton), IABC - 2002
TELUS Corporate Communications won an Award of Excellence in the 2002 IABC Capital Awards program for the TELUS Team Membership brochure. The Capital Awards program is a regional program honouring excellence in business communications in Edmonton and the surrounding area. The Capital Awards program is intended to showcase the best from Edmonton's business communications profession.
